Our exclusive, separate boarding facilities for dogs and cats boast meticulous cleaning, one-on-one attention and play time sessions, luxurious, plush bedding and all of the comforts of home.
With large, spacious, airy indoor comforts and plenty of outdoor space to romp and roam, our trained and caring staff welcomes all furry friends to relax and play in luxury. Our mission is to establish a client-centered facility that provides outstanding customer service, cost-effective solutions, and unprecedented medical standards, while never losing sight of our patients’ and clients’ ever-changing needs. We will achieve this high standard by providing, at all levels, a professional and growth-motivated working environment, by committing ourselves to the education of our clients and providing humane and caring services to all of our patients. This dedication provides optimum comfort to our boarding friends and peace of mind for their owners.
As a family owned and operated business, we understand our clients and their concerns, and while we’re experienced in our trade, we’re down-to-earth people who can see things for how they are. We’re local, normal individuals committed to providing extraordinary care; unlike that of any other in the industry.
How will we achieve this? Well, our new facility (built in 2004) allows us to focus 100% of our time on our boarders’ comfort and health. Take a look a few specs about the Canine Lodge itself:
- Hospital-grade air filtration system with fresh air changes every 30 minutes to help in preventing the spread of the common “kennel cough.”
- Accessible drainage in all areas of the facility.
- Heated floors to go along with the fluffy bedding, toys, and treats for every “camper.”
- Redundant exit doors preventing escapes and perimeter fencing.
- Commercial-grade laundry to ensure fresh and sanitary bedding and towels.
- Kitchen for the preparation of gourmet meals, special snacks, and accommodation of special dietary needs.
- Isolation room, completely separate of the facility, for ill pets.
- A specially designed heating and cooling system to ensure optimum comfort.
- State-of-the-art fire and intruder detection system armed whenever a staff member departs the building to ensure safety at all times.
- Pet Care Services Association (ABKA) certified facility.
Additional services we proudly offer…
- Bathing stations to keep our boarders looking “mighty fine.” (The free bath and pedicure after 5 nights of boarding helps, too!)
- Low Pet Care Professional to Pet Ratio.
- Individual, one-on-one “play time” in our fenced-in grassy area at least 5 times per day, plus whenever bathroom breaks are needed.
- Day care, overnights, or “extended vacation” rates.
- On-site Veterinarian at all times.
- Pets monitored, medicated, and treated with TLC (Tender Loving Care) by Veterinary Technicians and Certified Pet Care Technicians.
Health Requirements
All dogs are required to have proof of current vaccinations prior to entering our facility: Bordetella (kennel cough) must be done every 6 months; Rabies Vaccine per your pet’s series (ie 1 year, 3 year, etc); Distemper/Parvo Vaccine per your pet’s series (after initial vaccines: 1 year, 3 year schedules.) Additionally, their stool sample must be tested negative within the past 6 months. We ask that you bring proof of vaccination and test results from your regular veterinarian (if we do not already have it on file) at the time of drop-off.
All dogs should be on flea / tick prevention such as Advantix or Frontline. Additionally, pets should be on Heartworm prevention such as Heartgard. If your pet is found to have external or internal parasites, he/she will be treated at the owner’s expense.
Unfortunately, we cannot accept female dogs in heat.
Cats are required to have proof of current vaccination prior to entering our facility, as well. Their Rabies Vaccine must be up to date per your pet’s series (ie 1 year, 3 year, etc.) Additionally, their stool sample must be tested negative within the past 6 months.
Medications for Guest Pets
Dogs or cats who have special medical needs can be accommodated thanks to the constant presence of our Veterinary Technicians. We would be more than happy to administer your pet with patience and TLC.
Safety Requirements
We appreciate your dog being on a leash in our parking area and lobby. Cats must be in carriers upon entry. In consideration of our boarding guests, please do not walk your dog near the fenced play yards.
