CARING AND CONNECTING

Community Support

Building community is essential to everything we do. From our donor-driven programs to our educational opportunities, we're all about coming together and giving back.

OUR UNIQUE COMMITMENT

The Farm Fund

Our private fund with the Veterinary Care Foundation supports pets of low-income families during times of extreme hardship. Recipients are never asked to pay the money back as this fund relies on donations, not payments.
Brook Farm gives 1% of every transaction to the Foundation.

Community Programs

We partner with organizations that help us create opportunities, especially for people and animals who have been denied them in the past or who are otherwise at-risk. We also work with youth-serving organizations in order to inspire future careers in veterinary medicine and instill lifelong lessons about proper animal care.

SERVICE OF REMEMBRANCE

They say that our passed pets wait for us at the rainbow bridge; they wait for us to meet them there to continue on an everlasting journey. Join us each December as we remember those who are waiting for us at that rainbow bridge. We will let them know they aren’t forgotten and that we will see them again someday by lighting candles and sharing stories in their honor.

4H JUNIOR VET PROGRAM

The 4-H Junior Vet Series is an exciting seven week workshop with an opportunity to shadow local veterinarians and explore STEM careers in Veterinary Science. Youth learn about a variety of different animals in this hands-on enrichment program.

LIBRARY & CLASSROOM VISITS

Dr. Kanouse and his Golden Retriever, Nettles, a registered Service Dog, regularly visit local libraries and classrooms to teach youth about animal health. He'll also bring along a storybook, some x-rays, or a special piece of equipment to give each participant an enriching, hands-on experience.

RECYCLING PROGRAM

We accept any bottle, glass, or can with a bottle deposit. Just drop them off in a clear plastic bag and we'll ensure that they get recycled. The bottle deposit that we collect will be donated to the Veterinary Care Foundation. So far, we've raised over $1500 and recycled over 30,000 bottles.

PET GRIEF RESOURCES

Plant a seed in your pet's honor at our Memorial Park, located on our beautiful Hudson Valley campus. You can also join us online to share memories of your pet with others and light an electronic candle in their memory.

ONLINE COURSES

We provide free online courses to the community that discuss essential components of animal health. From diabetes management to proper nutrition, our online courses will make you a certified expert.
