People and animals in war-torn Ukraine need our help. Many Ukrainians are experiencing food shortages and structural damage to their facilities. As hundreds of thousands of residents try to safely flee the country, the number of displaced animals has grown and so has the need for more food, shelter, and emergency veterinary care.
The American Veterinary Medical Foundation will direct a $100,000 donation from Merck Animal Health and will match this grant with a donation of $100,000 to help pets in need, to support veterinary and animal-welfare groups in the war-torn country and the surrounding areas. Individuals are invited to add their contribution to relief efforts through a gift to the AVMF. AVMF is working to identify reputable organizations that are mobilizing to send emergency relief. Please note these organizations are not ‘AVMA-endorsed.' However, they are generally viewed as credible organizations that are poised to provide immediate help. Please consider how you can support their efforts. Together we can make a difference.
At Brook Farm Veterinary Center, we've given our employees the option to donate and we offered to match their contribution up to $100 per employee.
Make a tax-deductible donation today or learn more. All donations will provide support to protect animal welfare and care providers in the affected areas, and 100% of donations will be used to help those in need.
